When starting a new business, the learning curve is certainly steep and there are plenty of obstacles along the way, but nothing makes it more worthwhile than receiving positive feedback.
Set up as an advertising site for freelancers rather than a temping agency, our members are contacted by clients directly, so we aren't always fortunate enough to hear immediately about work that has been generated by Occasional Assistants. However, this week we know of four of our members that are starting new freelance projects as a direct result of the site, and we'd like to take the opportunity to wish them every success.
Most of our members are mums to young children wishing to return to work, who need flexibility but are still eager to utilise the vast skill base they spent years building up 'pre-children'. The four members who have found freelance work this week fall into this category and it brings us huge satisfaction that we have been able to play a small part in their successful return to work.
